Why we chose this fabric
When Rowan and I choose a fabric, we ask one question. How will she feel at four in the afternoon, on a warm day, after a long lunch?
For the Claribel we wanted a soft, breathable fabric with a little texture. An open knit lets air move through it, so the top stays light and fresh even when the day warms up. The texture gives it depth, so a simple two-piece looks considered rather than plain.
Smooth, shiny fabrics can look flat and cling in the heat. Thick knits are far too warm for an Australian summer. We passed on both. The Claribel is soft against the skin, easy to move in and special enough for a lunch out.

How to look after your Claribel
A little care keeps the knit soft and the shape just right, wear after wear.

1Machine wash on gentle. Use a gentle cycle in cold water.

2Turn the top inside out. It protects the open knit from catching.

3Wash with similar colours. Especially the first few times.

4Lay the top flat to dry. Knits keep their shape best this way. Hang the trousers. Skip the dryer.

5No bleach. A mild detergent is all it needs.
